Hazel.
Try 'pprune.org'. They may be able to help. There is a dedicated military section and the advice is normally top notch. Not many visit this site whereas prune is always on the go!
Hope this helps, Regards, and a great big thank you to your father! Gaz

Hopefully this'll prompt afew memories from the 85-90 period:
Andy Ring?, Andy Keating (Brize last time I saw him), Dave Whale (left in 1990), Russ Abbott (Stanstead?), Geordie Robertson (Stanstead), Dougy Duguid ?, Kev Woods (Leuchars 2 years ago?) Gath Cheyne, Graham Laing (teaching in Fife), Ken Todd (Lossie/Kinloss until recently), John Marriott (BA Captain now flying 707s out of Heathrow), Richy Brand, Pete Donellan, Lobby? Coiln Porter (Porta cabin if anyone remembers the Taceval incident?) Steve Valentine (lossie now), Richie Wilson (Lossie now). Can't for the life of me remember any others at this time. Oh Dave Blackmore-heal (lives near Gloucester now), Rich Allerton (was at Waddo for a long time but I think out now, lives near Retford).
Anyway enough for now - remember John Lovegrove, oh Steve Coleman, Mick Slorance of course, Bob Gaff? Jim Kerr and many more
Ian Cooper (left for Cranwell in 1990 and left the mob in 2006)

I have a poor quality video of Red Flag 1987 which features many familiar faces from that time ie Spence Lewis, Colin Sighe, Kev Woods and Barney (Jengo) plus a few more. If anyone would like a DVD copy let me know and we'll arrange something. No Charge. Only one HAS left at Wildenrath, HAS 20 ,92's Battle Flight now used as greenkeepers sheds for the Golf Course.

Hi All,
Glenn 'Ox' Oxberry here 1989 til the end.
Thought I'd join in after speaking with Gaz Williams earlier in the week.
I'm just sorry that I hadn't been on here before the reunion last year. Anyway here's to the next one.
Now living near Southampton, wife, 2 kids. Working in the glamorous business of supplying heating spares for boilers.
All the best to those that remember me, i'll tune in from time to time now.
Ta Ta Gitbags.

Hi all,
I was posted to Gutersloh in 65 with 19 from Leconfield. The Mally seemed to be the squadron bar along with the bowling alley. Happy days but long night shifts as i recall.

Hi John,
I was on 19 Sqn May 75 until Dec 76 and then over to 92 Sqn until April 77. Hard to believe it's been 30 years!!! You must remember the Dolph-Inn, many a pint in there and detachments to Boda Norway in Sep 75 and Deci Nov 75.

Hi all you guys from early 70's, I remember the Dolph inn, I wired the electrics in there and was a founder member of the club. The squadron came second in the Christmas Bar competion in 1972, and the Boss (Peter Vangucci) sought permission from the station commander to have the club full time. We even had a door knocked through the wall that led to the gents toilets on the 1st floor of the barrack block, for easy access to the toilets. Other members of the committee were Colin Baldwin (Flt Lt), Chris Dalton, John North, Mick Staniforth, Bob Hinchcliffe and Andy Yeomans. Yes we did have some great times up there in the annex and if I remember rightly a lot of secret drinking went on there during the weekends. I remember building the bar as well, the facia was made up of some kind of brown artificial leather and we dimpled it for effect. I also remember the odd rookie zob being sent down from the officers mess as some kind of initiation, they usually ended up legless.
Great days
John Hall
